Welcome
Moving countries is a big deal, but we're here to support you at Federation University. You'll be studying at the third oldest site for higher learning in Australia, while benefiting from personalised teaching and small class sizes.
We understand the challenges that come from moving between countries, which is why we set up the International Student Support office. We'll even pick you up from the airport and show you around the area!
You can choose to study at three campus locations. The Victorian campuses are located in natural settings in Ballarat, Berwick (Melbourne) and Gippsland.

Meet Jun
"Studying at Federation University Australia was a delightful experience of learning and unlearning, application and actualisation, within an atmosphere that is very open to diversity. The Master of Teaching (Secondary) course employs a holistic approach to maximise learning for every student. I also had a great opportunity to witness and practically apply classroom concepts in actual secondary schools having been on placement.
When I described the university to be open to diversity, I did not just mean diversity in skill and capabilities, but also differences in ethnicity and culture. As a student originating from China, I felt that my perspective is much appreciated and valued by lecturers and students alike.
All of my classmates are very approachable, helpful and warmhearted and such qualities are exemplified by all the teachers. These factors made it easier for me to comfortably finish group projects and ask questions if I had any.
I could not think of any better form of preparation for me to become an excellent secondary school teacher. This high standard of education is what I wish to emulate in my future professional practice."
