CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) Do you want to take the next step in your career or move away from being on the tools each day. Are you interested in managing residential, industrial, or commercial building projects?
This qualification will help you to meet the licencing/registration requirements to become a registered builder.
The course content below provides all possible units related to the course. If the course has various streams, the units you are required to study will depend on your chosen stream.
This course is considered part time. Monday Evening 4 pm to 8 pm Online - Wednesday 4 pm to 6 pm Online - Thursday 8:30 am to 4 pm - on campus or remotely. Students will complete approximately 7 hours per week of on campus study. Thursdays classes are held face to face on campus or can be accessed remotely in a Virtual Classroom (via MS teams) Currently classes are delivered 1 evening and 1 day a week with online access to teacher on another evening.
Additional study time is required to complete assessments, classroom readings and activities. We recommend that approximately 5 hours per week should be put aside for these activities.
There are no prerequisites for this program, however it is strongly recommended that students have at least 4 years of work experience in the building and construction industry and have good computer abilities (e.g. Microsoft office, ability to install software applications).

Applicants need to demonstrate the literacy and numeracy skills required to undertake this course through a test as part of the application process. The test will be conducted through Federation College prior to commencement of training. Feedback will be provided to the applicant on their results and types of support, if necessary, available to them.
