How to apply - Short courses

We offer a wide variety of short courses and welcome students to study with us. Explore Course Finder to discover all that we offer. If you have already found your short course, browse the application methods detailed below.

Check your eligibility

The new undergraduate certificates are open entry, meaning you do not need to meet any minimum academic entry requirements.

For all other courses, please check the individual entries on Course Finder to discover what entry requirements apply.

Apply for a short course

The method of application is different between a TAFE short course and a higher education short course. Check if it is a TAFE or a higher education course, in the ‘Additional Information’ section of the Course Finder entry for that short course.

Apply for a TAFE short course

Short courses normally have a minimum number of enrolments required to run.

Express your interest in attending the short course, and a member of our Federation TAFE team will be in touch with further information.

Apply for a higher education short course

To apply for one of the new government funded higher education short courses, please go to the course finder entry for this course, and click ‘apply now’ to submit your application via our online application system.

If you are interested in short courses other than these new undergraduate and postgraduate certificates, please note that our short courses have a minimum number of enrolments required to run. Express your interest in attending a short course by sending an email to info@federation.edu.au, and we will be in touch with further information.
