If you're in Year 10, 11 or 12, our youth programs may be for you. We offer the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), a hands-on option for students. The VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. Like the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate.
The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning is a recognised senior secondary certificate of education. The course develops your knowledge and employment skills, with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy.
Intermediate VCAL is a recognised senior secondary qualification that focuses on 'hands-on learning'. Students who undertake Intermediate VCAL are likely to be interested in transitioning into Senior VCAL, training at TAFE or securing an apprenticeship or other employment..
Senior VCAL is offered at Federation College in Ballarat, where you can choose from several models of delivery.
