"I chose FedUni because it was close to home and I’d heard it had really good staff and a great student to teacher ratio. I looked at several other universities and FedUni definitely stood out as a supportive and welcoming environment. I’m studying biomedical science (honours) and in my time here I’ve been able to add to the supportive environment by working as a PASS (peer assisted study session) leader, tutor, student support leader, open day volunteer and lab assistant.
In 2015 I received a national award for PASS with my co-leader Cam, at the national PASS conference. I loved being a PASS leader because I felt like I was really making a difference and helping students. FedUni allowed me to have this job where I was then awarded for something I loved doing. Any institution that encourages leaders to flourish is a wonderful place to learn!"
