We have partnered with ACCIONA, Global Power Generation (GPG), Tilt Renewables, Vestas, Goldwind Australia, Siemens Gamesa and Direct Wind Services to deliver an internship with wind turbine manufacturers and service organisations, covering electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems training. The purpose of this Skillset is for the learners enrolled to obtain nationally accredited units of competency that align with the approved GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) and its modules, this provides participants with important updated skills, which include Fire Awareness, First Aid, Working at Heights, and Manual Handling. This will be related to personnel who are working within the wind industry or related fields that their duties include wind turbines or WTG structure. Workers will be required to complete this course on an annual basis once they have completed GWO Basic Safety Training Course (BSTC).

Contact hours can vary depending on requirements, however typical contact hours for full-time study are around 25-30 hours comprising of on-campus classes, online learning and self-directed study.
