Industry sector and job outcomes:

Building surveyors require an understanding of relevant compliance requirements as well as of traditional, new and emerging construction methods and materials. They make a significant contribution to the development and construction of the built environment, often working in collaboration with specialist consultants to assess and verify that proposed and actual building works are compliant and to ensure the safety of building occupants. Building surveyors work in a highly regulated environment and must carry out their role ethically and according to legislative and regulatory requirements.

The test will be conducted through Federation College prior to commencement of training. To be registered in Victoria as a Building Surveyor (Limited) individuals must have successfully completed a Degree in Building Surveying or CPC60121 Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying. This program fulfills this requirement.
