The Certificate IV in Cyber Security covers:
• theory and concepts required in cyber security
• configuration of secure networks and security infrastructure
• testing and analysis of systems for cyber exploitation
• working collaboratively in IT
• writing scripts and automating processes for software applications
• installation and management of servers and cloud services
Course delivery
You asked, and we listened. We now offer our Certificate IV in Cyber Security with flexibility, so you find the right balance between your studies, work, family and other commitments.
You can attend classes at our Mt Helen Campus, or study online via MS Teams. We incorporate the latest digital technology to complement our training methods, so if you choose to study online you will require access to a home computer – either Win10 or OS-X – with:
• 16GB RAM
• min 250GB of SSD disk
• CPU min of 4 cores for virtual machine (VM) work
• internet equivalent to NBN 25/5 or greater, or iiNet Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connection with 100GB/month min quota

The course content below provides all possible units related to the course. If the course has various streams, the units you are required to study will depend on your chosen stream.
Day program delivery: 3 days per week Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 10am-3.00pm.

There are no essential entry requirements for the 22603VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security. However, a keen interest in the industry is important.

Applicants need to demonstrate the literacy and numeracy skills required to undertake this course through a test as part of the application process. The test will be conducted through Federation College prior to commencement of training. Feedback will be provided to the applicant on their results and types of support, if necessary, available to them.
