Technology is about the innovation and then application of techniques, methods and plans in practice (whether they are products, processes, organisational structures, or any ideas that have application to solving problems). This course aims to enable students to develop an appreciation and understanding how such a technology can be put into practice on a significant commercial scale. This is the technology commercialisation process in society. From an entrepreneurial perspective, the objective is for students to become effective in managing all aspects of innovation and problem solving of the actual technology, and the managing of people to elicit the best from the technology. This requires students to acquire skills in understanding the nature of the innovation and related technology, as well as how to effectively commercialise such technology based on the needs of society and limits of the ecosystem.

A CSP is subsidised by the Australian Government and students pay a contribution amount. Each unit is classified into a student contribution band, depending on the study area of the unit (this discipline may be different from the study area of your course).
