This unit is designed to draw on the specialised knowledge from the Health discipline and enable PSTs to design, develop and evaluate Health curriculum. They will understand the historical development of Health education in schools. Curriculum resources that support the teaching of the Health curriculum will be examined. PSTs will draw on the current curriculum to design a unit of work that incorporates a range of teaching and learning strategies, and effective assessment and evaluation approaches, appropriate for Health education in schools. The unit draws on a range of literature to critically analyse health issues and determine the implications for Health education
