Directed Studies in Human Movement 3 (HUMOV1006)

This 10 credit point course provides the opportunity for additional study via a negotiated learning contract for the individual student to address a knowledge and/or skills gap identified by the program coordinator. Students, in consultation with their program coordinator, may elect to study in one of the broad areas of physical education, exercise science, sport, sports management, recreation, health or Human Movement Activities. The course will involve individual negotiated contract tasks and will include studies in conference and/or class contact. Specific requirements will be determined through mutual agreement between student, program coordinator and, where relevant, other staff adviser. This course is particularly relevant for students transferring from one program to another, where previous study partially addresses the learning outcomes of a required course in the new program of study. This is especially applicable where accreditation issues necessitate the completion of all course and program outcomes in the new program.
