PAINTING STUDIO PRACTICE 5 (VAPNT3005)

Works: The student will present a draft proposal detailing the works and associated studies they propose to undertake. The proposal should be refined as an ongoing part of the semesters work in consultation with staff. Factors to be considered for the proposal include: A conceptual framework and the rationale that underpins it, Processes to be investigated and developed, Contemporary and historical sources relevant to the proposed studies. Students are expected to commence the development of a mature, professional, investigative body of artwork, relative to their stated intentions. Students will extend and begin to consolidate their knowledge of relevant media and processes, including appropriate twenty-first century technology. Drawing Component: Students will be required to consolidate and extend their drawing skills as a means for increasing visual awareness and visual persistence in order to develop the capacity to work and concentrate over an extended period of time.

Commonwealth supported place (CSP)
