Education and early childhood
Few careers are as rewarding or crucial as teaching. But shaping young minds in a time of rapid social and technological change has its own set of challenges – where only the most confident, passionate and dedicated teachers can make a difference in the community. We offer qualifications from degree through to postgraduate levels in education (early childhood, primary, secondary and vocational education and training), physical and outdoor education
Meet Lisa
"Coming from a country town in South Gippsland I didn’t really want to move to the city, so FedUni in Ballarat appealed to me as it has a country feel with all the benefits of living in the city. The friendships that have been made through Res and my course are still ones that are with me today. In my third year I was offered the opportunity to do a placement in the UK. I jumped at the chance and it has been a treasured memory and a true highlight of my course.
I was also offered a grant from the university for this placement which paid for my flights. I was able to teach in a public and private school in Chester over three weeks, as well as visiting various schools across London. During this placement I learnt about the differences and similarities between the teaching systems of Australia and the UK, and I believe this experience made me a more confident and competent teacher with new ideas to implement in my own teaching."
